Simplifying my to do list
So often, my list making gets out of control and overwhelming. I've wondered what system would work for me to make this process easier but still feel fun?
I am pretty addicted to sticky notes, but by the end of the day, I wind up with a million bits of thoughts here and there.
I am also addicted to lists - big, giant, beautiful lists.
They are my brain dump; my catch all; a way to put things on my radar in a physical way.
I have dozens of journals, spiral bound notebooks and various loose paper on my bookshelf. However, I still search for my notebook savior.
And I still haven't found what I'm looking for.
So I'm going to see if I can create it.
I've designed a simplified, two column to do list so I can jot down any immediate needs and also start to map out the not so critical tasks, side by side. I can plan my schedule based on prioritizing with the ability to see everything laid out in front of me.
It may be an old school way to create or maintain a to do list, but I guess that's just how I roll.
I love being hands on and physically tracking my ideas with a pen and paper!
I've read that a strong connection forms when you write something down. I feel that is so incredibly true - as I can visualize my formed words after writing them in a way that I just can't capture when I type.
And I get to pair this list with my very own brand imagery - a serious match made in heaven for me!
I intend to start mapping out self-care on my to do list as well, and making that a priority each week.
I encourage you to do the same - it makes a big difference when you take care of yourself and make the time for just YOU!
